Mocana Participates in Gartner Catalyst Conference 2014 as Platinum Sponsor

Mocana today announced that it is a Platinum Sponsor of the Gartner Catalyst Conference 2014 taking place in San Diego from August 10-14, 2014. Mocana executives will be available during this must-attend event for prearranged 30-minute private meetings with attendees to discuss their requirements for driving usage of enterprise mobile apps. Additionally, attendees are invited to join Alan Panezic, Mocana vice president, products; Matt Carrier, senior director, SAP; Quentin Hurst, EVP at Virtuoso; and Kip Wagner, SVP at DMI, to hear them discuss “Driving Demand for Enterprise Mobile Apps at Scale,” a 45-minute presentation starting at 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13 in the Seaport 3 room of the Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego.

“Extended enterprise mobility is one of the greatest challenges facing enterprise IT today as it seeks to securely mobilize enterprise data without sacrificing the user experience for employees, partners, customers and others on any device,” said Alan Panezic, vice president for products at Mocana. “Attendees of Gartner Catalyst 2014 will be able to explore the benefits of the Mocana ON™ experience, powered by our Atlas platform, an effortless, always-on secure connection to enterprise data with true one tap-and-go mobile app usage that is able to scale up as needed, and which delivers uniquely rich mobile app usage intelligence and visibility.”

The Mocana Atlas extended enterprise platform simplifies enterprise mobile app deployments by mitigating many of the toughest security bottlenecks that typify large-scale rollouts, while significantly reducing mobile total cost of ownership. Deployed on the network edge, behind the firewall, the Atlas appliance securely connects mobile apps to back-end systems, with unprecedented simplicity for IT and one-click access for individuals across the entire extended enterprise.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...
