Glassbeam Announces Technology Partnership With Tableau Software

Alliance Speeds Up Time-to-Value for Tableau Customers Through Faster, Easier Access to Insights From Machine Data

SANTA CLARA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/06/14 -- Glassbeam, Inc., the machine data analytics company, today announced a technology partnership with Tableau Software, a global leader in rapid-fire, easy-to-use business analytics software. This partnership enables Glassbeam's customers to easily plug in Tableau on top of Glassbeam SCALAR, a next-generation platform to facilitate high performance analysis of machine data relevant to business operations across the enterprise.

While Tableau helps users analyze, visualize and share information, Glassbeam's scalable platform pipes valuable machine data to Tableau, allowing customers to rapidly capture, analyze and respond to data across multiple devices and IT assets. Glassbeam SCALAR is built to handle the volume and variety of data generated by the Internet of Things (IoT) using the company's breakthrough Semiotic Parsing Language (SPL) to quickly extract strategic intelligence from complex operational data. The platform works with any data, any device and any cloud to offer customers maximum flexibility. With the option of on-premise or cloud deployment, Glassbeam enables Tableau customers to leverage machine (IoT) logs for customer support, product development and sales to lower costs, add new revenue streams, build better products and increase customer retention.

"In the era of connected devices, machine data is increasingly becoming richer, and time to insight into this data has become a critical competitive differentiator today," said Puneet Pandit, founder and CEO at Glassbeam. "Many of our customers have been asking for a solution where they want to leverage industry leading tools, such as Tableau, to build their own visualizations on top of Glassbeam SCALAR. We are excited to announce this partnership with Tableau that will enable such solutions and expand business impact across the enterprise now."

"Glassbeam further strengthens Tableau's ability to quickly gain business insights into data, detect trends, patterns, and relationships," said Dan Jewett, vice president of product management at Tableau Software. "Glassbeam's platform empowers business users to utilize machine log analytics without requiring deep technical expertise."

Glassbeam's patent-pending technology is enabling customers to reduce costs, increase revenues, accelerate product time to market, and improve customer satisfaction and retention.
