INSTEON Announces Availability on Build.com

INSTEON, creators of the world’s best-selling home automation and control technology, today announced that its most popular INSTEON connected home products are now available from Build.com. The online home improvement store will carry 15 products, including the INSTEON Hub, the INSTEON Dimmable LED Bulb, and the INSTEON WiFi Camera.

“Our customer base is looking to simplify their dream home with home automation. Smart home improvement is in high demand, and we are dedicated to making the best connected home products available to our customers,” said Jeff Burwell, HVAC and Home Automation Category Manager, Build.com. “Adding INSTEON products to our online store means customers can access a variety of easy-to-install, reliable and affordable home automation products and order quickly and easily.”

Adding convenience and control to the home, INSTEON’s products rely on the company’s wireless, dual-band technology, which takes advantage of both the existing power lines through the home combined with radio frequency (RF) for the most reliable communication. INSTEON’s technology ensures that signals can reach any device, no matter how far away from the hub it might be.

“Build.com is a top online home improvement retailer because of the niche shopping experience that they provide to their customers,” said Joe Dada, CEO, INSTEON. “We are looking forward to becoming a part of the Build.com family and providing their customers with the most reliable, easy to use connected home products available on the market today.”

With its simple installation, setup process and trustworthy communication, INSTEON has become the industry’s premier remote control networking technology. Plug-in modules and wall switches make it possible to add wireless control to any appliance in a home or business without having to hire a contractor. By making every networked device talk to each other via radio frequencies and existing electrical wiring, INSTEON eliminates the need for custom wiring and ensures that every device is always connected.

INSTEON’s award-winning product line includes LED light bulbs, leak sensors, wired and wireless thermostats, wireless cameras and much more. For more information or to learn more about INSTEON’s full range of connected home products, visit www.insteon.com.

IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded.
