GCT Semiconductor, Direct Beam and Alpha Networks Develop Innovative Fixed LTE Wireless Router

GCT® Semiconductor, a leading designer and supplier of advanced 4G mobile semiconductor solutions, in collaboration with Direct Beam, a global supplier of advanced wireless software and technology, and Alpha Networks, a global leader in the networking ODM/OEM industry, today announced the availability of a new revolutionary low-cost, high performance, fixed 4G LTE indoor and outdoor wireless router designed to provide superior wireless performance and increase subscriber satisfaction. The new router’s unique features reduce the installation setup time, OpEx and churn for service providers.

This unique LTE router combines GCT’s highly integrated LTE chip, GDM7243, with Direct Beam’s patented advanced software algorithms and technology. With this revolutionary technology, the LTE router’s coverage and speed are up to ten times higher than any other router available today. In addition, the device automatically performs self-beams steering adjustments when changes in the RF environment occur, therefore maximizing the best link performance at all times.

Alpha Network’s indoor and outdoor products have been developed based on GCT and Direct Beam’s patented technology and are available today for various LTE band combinations. The LTE router will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at GCT’s hospitality suite in Hall 6, 6O11MR, as well as Alpha Networks’ suite in Hall 1, 1A18MR.
