Toluna Assembles Global Thought Leaders to Discuss Future of Market Research

Company to Host 'The Future is Now' Summit in Paris, 6 October 2010

PARIS, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Global online panel leader Toluna, has announced it is to host a roundtable summit on the future of market research.

Titled 'The Future is Now,' the event, conceived by Toluna to mark its 10-year anniversary, will take place at The Eiffel Tower, Paris, on 6 October 2010. Toluna will bring together high-profile speakers and senior level executives to focus on the implications of current and future change agents and how they can be harnessed to evolve the market research industry. Forty C-level executives from top market research agencies and client companies worldwide will be in attendance.

The event boasts a number of featured speakers including:

David Rowan - Editor, Wired Magazine
Andrei Broder - Chief Scientist, Search and Advertising, Yahoo!
    OrliYakuel - Blogger and Co-Founder of Go2web

"The research industry, like many others, has evolved dramatically over the past ten years - but it is just the beginning. As the world continues to pick up speed, a myriad of new forces are already making themselves felt; the explosion of smartphone usage, social media, and the principles of co-creation to name but a few," says David Rowan, Editor, Wired Magazine, and Roundtable chair. "Toluna is bringing together thought leaders from within, and outside the research industry, to identify exactly where the market is today, where it will be tomorrow, and most importantly, where the opportunities lie."

"We know that our landscape is changing; what's important is to identify how we can turn these changes into opportunities to drive client performance, whether that means bringing companies closer to their consumers or improving customer experience," added Frederic-Charles Petit, Founder and CEO of Toluna. "To uncover the answers, we're looking beyond the confines of our own industry and sharing information. We hope this event will evolve both the industry and its practices."

Whilst the event is invitation-only, Toluna will be providing its clients, partners and the wider industry with content produced from the event. Also available will be a video montage compiled of interviews with key influencers on their predictions for the industry, conducted by Toluna during the course of this year.

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. This is often especially true in financial services, where the legacy environment is many times unable to keep up with the rapidly shifting demands of the consumer. The constant pressure to provide complete, omnichannel delivery of customer-facing solutions to meet both regulatory and customer demands is putting enormous pressure on...
IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded. A service mesh like Istio addr...

To Really Work for Enterprises, MultiCloud Adoption Requires Far Better and Inclusive Cloud Monitoring and Cost Management … But How? Overwhelmingly, even as enterprises have adopted cloud computing and are expanding to multi-cloud computing, IT leaders remain concerned about how to monitor, manage and control costs across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.
